Daniela Wagner joined OctopusTravel in June 2003 with a brief to expand the business internationally. OctopusTravel is an innovative online travel company that offers an extensive range of products on the Internet in 22 languages, including hotels, apartments, sightseeing and transfers. Since joining, the number of overseas offices has more than doubled to fourteen and turnover has increased £57 million in 2003 to £110 million in 2004. Plans for 2005 include the rollout of a 'franchise programme' for Octopus in Europe, Eastern Europe and Latin America, and consolidating OctopusTravel's position as the partner of choice for B2B relationships.

From 1998 to 2003, Daniela worked at Vice President Corporate Affairs at the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) - the forum for global business leaders. She was responsible for organising global events and building corporate relationships, and was highly successful in recruiting new members amongst the top CEO's of the travel industry. WTTC's mission is to raise awareness of the full economic impact of the world's largest generator of wealth and jobs - Travel & Tourism.

From 1992 to 1998, Daniela worked as Executive Director for the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA). Under her leadership, ETOA became one the leading trade associations operating at a European level and representing the interests of international inbound and Intra-European operators and their suppliers.
