Samer Majali
President & CEO, Royal Jordanian Airlines
Mr. Samer Majali graduated from the Dean Close School in the UK
in 1975 and went on to complete a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering
and Design and a Diploma of Industrial Studies at Loughborough University
of Technology. He also holds an MSc in Air Transport Management
from the Cranfield Insitute of Technology.
He began his career at Royal Jordanian Airlines in 1989 in the position
of Assistant Vice President Fleet Planning/Corporate Planning and
Research Department. He then held posts as Assistant Vice President
Technical Affairs and Operations Control Center/Flight Operations
Department; Executive Assistant to the President, Information Systems
Department; Vice President, Information Systems & Services Department
and Vice President, Passenger Services Department.
In 2001 Mr Majali became President & CEO of Royal Jordanian
and since 2003 has had the additional responsibility of Vice Chairman
of the Board.
Mr Majali is a Member of the Board of a number of international
companies and organisations and is Chairman of the Executive Committee,
Alia Hotel and Chairman of the Board of the Jordanian Opportunities
Bureau. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society in
the UK and is a Chartered Engineer in the Engineering Council in
the UK.
