Welf Ebeling
Executive Vice President & COO, The Leading Hotels of the World Ltd

Appointed in April 2000, Welf J. Ebeling serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd.'s New York headquarters.

Prior to his position at The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd., Mr. Ebeling was General Manager of the Hotel Breidenbacher Hof in Dusseldorf, Germany and a board member of The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. for nine years. Additionally, he has held senior-level positions at The Regent of Hong Kong; The Regent Hotel Kuala Lumpur; The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London; and The Mandarin Hotel of Hong Kong.

As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Ebeling is responsible for directing, administering and coordinating the activities of the corporation in accordance with the policies and objectives established by the Executive Committee.

In addition to day-to-day management duties, strategic planning and establishing corporate procedures, a large portion of Mr. Ebeling's responsibilities is devoted to the management of the regional offices and membership relations. He is also a key liaison with the international offices and member hotels and is chairman of the Standards Committee which continuously monitors and controls the high level of quality demanded from all of our member hotels.
