Steering away from traditional speeches and processions, the Summit encourages interactive debate and dialogue among industry leaders and those who can shape the future of Travel & Tourism. Set in WTTC 's signature 'in the round' format, each debate is moderated by experienced news anchors from the global media. In this way, frank and open exchange of ideas is ensured.

This year's theme is Open Mind, Open World. This theme will rally both the international private and public sectors to increase business and leisure travel, promote development of travel infrastructure and raise awareness of the economic impact of an industry that creates more than 220 million jobs and 10 per cent of gross domestic product worldwide.
Summit discussions will also focus on how the Travel & Tourism industry can help foster cultural understanding, tolerance and respect of different cultures, religion and values as well as economic growth and sustainable development worldwide.
