In 2007 his global team closed 259 hotel transactions; representing a combined value of US$13.9 billion in 84 cities and worked on a further 660 assignments in over 300 cities.

ANA's exit from the hotel business whereby an attractive joint venture with a leading hotel brand operator was created, improving the value of the assets significantly. The consequent sale of the hotel assets for $2.3billion, marked Asia's highest ever real estate transaction;
Colony Capital and Kingdom Holdings' joint rationalisation of the Raffles, Swisshotels and Fairmont hotels
across Mexico, South East Asia, the Caribbean, Australia and Europe.
Mr de Haast has also worked with some of the largest and most active hotel investors, including the Blackstone Group, Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund, Istithmar, Starwood Hotels and Resorts and others.
He is a regular commentator on the global hotel investment market, speaking at major conferences and is quoted in the world's leading business and financial publications.
