Vice President, News & Programming Barbara Stelzner (CNBC EMEA)

Barbara joined CNBC in September 2005 and is responsible for all news content on CNBC in the EMEA region.  Previously she was in charge of the team at Sky News, Ireland where she produced two half-hour programmes tailor-made for the Irish audience and inserted into the main Sky feed.

Between 2003 and 2004, Barbara was a Senior Television Project Advisor in Ireland, acting as chief news and programming consultant to build an extensive operations plan for a pan-European documentary/news television channel.

Barbara has a PhD in Film History from the University of Bonn and a MA in History of Art at University of Bonn.  She also has a Diploma in Film and Television Studies at the Polytechnic of Central London.

Barbara was born in Germany and now lives in the United Kingdom.
